Director of Sales (West)

We are looking for a Sales Director who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth advertising environment. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, proactive in creating opportunities, and committed to building authentic, long-term relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with national brands, agencies, and regional clients. 
  • Develop and nurture meaningful ad agency and client relationships on behalf of the company. 
  • Deliver innovative, high-impact advertising solutions that drive revenue and client success. 
  • Provide exceptional client service, ensuring smooth execution of campaigns and long-term partnerships. 
  • Strategically manage and grow a national account list of mid-to-large agencies and direct clients. 
  • Adapt to shifting client needs, market dynamics, and internal priorities with a solutions-oriented mindset. 
  • Demonstrate resilience in overcoming obstacles and navigating the challenges of a high-performance sales environment. 
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to track and manage sales activity effectively. 
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements to maximize value for both clients and Canela Media. 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of digital video or CTV advertising sales experience. 
  • Established relationships with brands/agencies. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. 
  • Deep understanding of the advertising marketplace with a focus on CTV/OTT, Digital/Online, and Television. 
  • Experience in selling programmatic. 
  • Experience in multicultural media is a plus. 
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus but not a requirement. 
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and stay resilient under pressure in a rapidly changing sales environment.
